John Noey CFP®, EA
CEO
BACKGROUND
John's entry into financial services began with a happy accident while at South Plains Community College in Levelland TX, where he was taking back-to-back economic courses. At that time John learned of the Personal Financial Planning Program at Texas Tech University, a Financial Planning Board Certified Program. Two years later John had graduated and entered the financial services industry when he was hired as a director of plan design by a boutique financial planning firm. At that time John's responsibilities included portfolio development and management, product research and selection and was responsible for writing all financial plans and recommendations. He applied his construction and automotive service and repair background to the financial planning industry. “Building a plan is very similar to building a home and maintaining a plan is very similar to tuning an automobile, the steps and application may be similar, but only the object is different.”
Over his 20+ years in the industry John has seen many market cycles and has learned how to develop strategies that help manage market volatility and accelerate recovery periods. He takes the most pride in the individualized investment advisory models, as the goal of the model is to enhance value by helping to maximize spendable income after taxes during retirement. John believes that the only value money has is how it can benefit the lives of the clients and their families and their charitable and legacy goals.
At North Texas Tax and Financial, we approach our business with a winning mindset. Winning is not a matter of absolutes, winning is an attitude that allows you to take action when opportunities arise in life.

When John is not serving clients he enjoys time with his wife, Jackie, of over 25 years more than almost anything else. The anything else's are hunting, fishing, outdoor activities (since John is from Alaska) with his favorite person, Jackie, and his adult children Kozee and Forrest.
John is passionate about wildlife conservation and management, the environment (he despises plastic bottles and grocery bags and believes they should be banned, except zip lock bags because they are very useful) and will never own an electric vehicle since the environmental impact is absurd. Additionally, he participates in both direct and indirect philanthropy.
